Training and Development | 1st Line Management

Business Post’s people development programme called ‘The Way We Develop’ has been designed to address skills shortages and enable staff development throughout all job functions within the company.

The First Line Management Programme is integral to the success of ‘The Way We Develop’, providing existing or prospective supervisors and team leaders with the skills, qualities and competencies required for them to become the future managers of Business Post.

The programme has been developed in association with the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). As a result, employees receive an Introductory Certificate in First Line Management from the ILM upon completion of the full programme.

Within the First Line Management Programme, employees undertake a range of tasks, internal and external training courses, mentor support and project-based work to support their personal growth within the organisation. The programme has been developed to offer employees the opportunity to gain management qualifications, encourage internal career progression, and retain knowledge and expertise within Business Post.
