Business Post Invests in 1500 New Vans

Business Post Group has signed a rental agreement with NVR Fleet UK for 1,500 Citroen Relay vans, as part of a major vehicle replacement programme. The first two hundred vehicles, in full company livery, have already been delivered, with the remaining vans scheduled for delivery over the next 36 months.

The Citroen Relays will be used by employed and self-employed drivers across Business Post’s parcel, mail and specialist services operations. The new vans will replace existing vehicles within the company’s fleet and provide a range of benefits including increased fuel efficiency, and enhanced health and safety. Each vehicle has been fitted with satellite navigation, which should also result in the reduction of misroutes and wasted miles.

NVR Fleet UK will provide a number of support services, including a full-time Implant Manager who will be based at Business Post’s head office in Birmingham. This vehicle specialist will provide ongoing advice and support on matters relating to the new vehicle fleet.

Commenting on the deal, Guy Buswell, Chief Executive of Business Post Group commented: “We are committed to an ongoing programme of vehicle and asset replacement to drive efficiencies and minimise environmental impact across our business. Business Post has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Newton Vehicle Rentals, and during a rigorous tender process, they again demonstrated their ability to develop a vehicle solution that best meets our fleet needs.”

David Edwards, Managing Director of NVR Fleet UK said: “We are delighted to be working with Business Post Group, one of the leading independent mail, parcels and pallets operators within the UK. This latest agreement recognises our desire to provide cost-effective and innovative fleet solutions that offer genuine benefits to our customers.
